Montauk Point

Michael, Terri, Suzie, Jeff, my mom and I took a ride out to Montauk Point to visit the Montauk Lighthouse. It was foggy and it was impossible to take any decent photos of the lighthouse until the fog burned off. We walked up 139 steps into the top of the lighthouse (I am not too comfortable walking up narrow steps or going up high, but it was really nice). And because we can learn something while on vacation, we took a tour that gave us the history of the lighthouse. I've been to the lighthouse three times now and I would suggest it to anyone visiting the east end of the island. It is the oldest operating lighthouse in the United States.
