School went well....except for squirrely kindergarteners (they settle down around December).
Met my friend Julie at the bookstore---which turned into an after lunch/before dinner meal of decadent lobster bisque and spinach/artichoke appetizer and small desserts served in teacups. Lots of great conversation and sometimes I feel like she is my kindred spirit since we oddly have a lot of things in common. (p/s I have to know how the Wii Active is, J!! Especially after that dessert AND coffee. You didn't see me add fifteen sugars to mine.)
Using my bookstore gift card, I bought a 2000 piece jigsaw puzzle which I am very excited about....AND Julie came up with a great puzzle table idea, which involves Tom making me the table part and then covering it in felt. I can put the top in the garage when I am not using it. I cannot WAIT to start the table so I can work on my new puzzle. (Hey, Suz-the puzzle's a photograph of "The City".)
Also looked for fabric for the headboard I want to make with no luck.
Boys are playing Wii. Enjoying the last two days with Daddy before he heads back to work.
Got the kindergarten supply list for Ian today. I am beginning to feel emotional about the start of kindergarten one week from tomorrow. Expect the sappy kindergarten posts at any moment.
But for now, I am content.

Sounds like you had a great day. I can imagine how amazing it must feel to have your baby - especially your this one - head out into the big world.
Glad you are having such a nice and extended series of birthday celebrations. That puzzle table sounds nifty.
