We had dinner with the Corks last night and the boys got to explore the backyard a bit while waiting for dinner. 
We discovered the bird nest, which Julie's blog does much more justice. Don't forget to check her entry on our visit too. 
After a good dinner, cookies and ice cream, the boys and girls settled down to watch some Backyardigans while adults were able to discuss comics, art and all. Thanks Julie and Sean, Zoe and Lyra! (I really hope the guacamole and ice cream stick came off the table and chair!)

I like your picture of the bird's next. Sounds like a nice evening. Of course you are missed at Wordzzles, but having fun in the real world is better. How is that poor puppy doing? Is he healing well?

Your pictures make my backyard look so much nicer than it actually is! It was great fun having you guys over (heh - "guys": it cracked me up when Ian referred to me as "that guy":). And no worries about the table and chair; it looks pretty clean, but I'm sure if you missed anything the pooches have already finished the job.
As for the pooch with the hood, her ear is healing up (again - she just tore it open this week, after a burst of itchy allergies brought on by the rain a couple weeks ago; she had been hood-free for several weeks). We'll probably let her take it off today or tomorrow. Thanks for asking!
